Cerdanya with a dog

Meadow and lake walks, stays with a visible fee, and the rules a pet-friendly map skips: Cadí-Moixeró, livestock and the vet.

Know before you go. Travel together.

A search for “Cerdanya dog walks” is not an OpenStreetMap dog=yes list. It is whether the dog can be off-lead at Malniu, whether the Camí de l’Aigua is flat, and whether Cadí requires a lead. This guide groups named walks, towns and NomaPaw listings — not a “call first” directory.

This is a plateau, not a summit range. Puigcerdà has the lake loop (3 km, lead required by by-law). Bellver opens the Camí de l’Aigua: shade and river, 2–3 h. Meranges climbs to Malniu: forest track, cold water, livestock in summer. Estanys de la Pera (Lles) and Prat de Cadí (Estana) are another scale: natural park, lead on in protected zones.

In summer the valley burns at midday: start early. High ground cools fast. Near livestock, lead on and keep distance from guardian dogs; close field gates. In Cadí-Moixeró the lead is not advice: it is the rule on many stretches.

Vet in Puigcerdà in hours; out-of-hours often La Seu d’Urgell (~45 min). Papers and census in the car. NomaPaw does not confirm a place because it sits on a map: the listing shows zones, the fee and whether the dog joins the dining room.
