“Empordà farmhouse dog” and “greenways dog” are not Costa Brava. Inland is farm track, patchy shade and masies that take the companion in the garden — not a Begur hotel. The greenways are flat: lead where bikes pass and at road crossings.
Girona is a culture day: old town, river, terrace. A dog in the medieval core means stairs and short shade in August. It is not a volcano walk or a dog beach.
For salt water, use the Costa Brava beach guide. Here the fee that matters is the masia’s, and whether the dog joins the summer kitchen.
